Hi and welcome to the second week of April. I hope your Easter Sunday was wonderful and I hope the recipes I provided the last couple of weeks served you well if you were cooking and entertaining.

This week I am 100% leaning into my desire to experience April in Paris. I have had the privilege to be in Paris twice, but never in April. Hence, I will be dreaming of it and bringing you a couple of my favorite recipes of things to eat when I’m in Paris—madeleines, which you can buy in bulk bags in Paris grocery stores to be enjoyed with your cappuccino’s, and moules marinières— my favorite way to eat mussels— drenched in garlic and white wine with plenty of French bread to sop up the sauce. Both have just a few ingredients involved, but are so delicious and taste much more complicated than they actually are.

Anyway, I hope you’re enjoying some beautiful cherry blossom and bulbs blooming wherever you live. I’m so happy when the Earth starts to show signs of life here again after our long winters. I hope you enjoy these dishes and have a wonderful week.
