Notes From The Road - A New Carnival Ship

This past week I had the extreme pleasure of attending the christening of a new Carnival ship. For the first time in Carnival’s history they named a Godfather (as opposed to a Godmother) and it was none other than comedian Jay Leno. The event was held in New York as that is where this new ship the Venecia will be based for now. This ship was introduced to the Costa fleet (a sister line to Carnival) in 2019 but has now been pressed into service for the flagship brand Carnival. The ship itself is beautiful. Walking through the ship, the spaces felt comfortable, airy and yet intimate. The main dining room featured a gondola on display from Venice. Have a look at this ship for your next cruise out of New York and have a wonderful week!
