Greetings! Well…my plan is working! My plan was (and continues to be) to stand before you each week and do my best to inspire you to travel. And, guess what? You did! A hearty congratulations to you and your fellow adventurers for achieving a remarkable milestone! On Sunday June 23, 2024, the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) screened a staggering 2.99 million airline passengers, marking the highest-ever number in a single day. This incredible feat is a testament to the growing enthusiasm and confidence in travel. Over the past month, seven of the ten busiest travel days ever have been recorded, reflecting an extraordinary trend. The summer season looks equally promising, with a forecast of 271 million passengers, up 6.3% from last year. U.S. carriers are gearing up to fly more than 26,000 daily flights, nearly 1,400 more than in 2023. Again, congratulations and I’ll see you in line at security!
