Dems set to release bill supporting expansion of Supreme Court
National News

According to NBC.com, several Democratic politicians are moving forward with a bill to expand the number of justices on the Supreme Court.
As NBC reported, "Congressional Democrats will introduce legislation Thursday to expand the Supreme Court from nine to 13 justices, joining progressive activists pushing to transform the court."
NBC adds, "The size of the Supreme Court, which has fluctuated since it was established in 1789, has remained at nine since 1869."
The news comes only a few days after President Joe Biden signed an order to create a commission that will look into Supreme Court reform.
The concept of potentially adding seats to the Supreme Court became a major topic on the campaign trail last year, especially after the death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Despite only serving one term as Commander in Chief, President Donald Trump successfully nominated and oversaw three new additions to the Supreme Court. Those new additions moved the Court to the right and serve as an enduring part of Trump's legacy.
