A Prayer of Repentance Without Condemnation | Your Daily Prayer

Sometimes the hardest part of repentance isn't admitting we were wrong.

It's the fear of what happens after we admit it.

Will God be disappointed?

Will He be angry?

Have I failed one too many times?

But 1 John 1:9 gives us this promise:

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”

Repentance isn't pretending sin doesn't matter.

It matters deeply.

But repentance also isn't sitting in shame after God has invited us into forgiveness.

God's conviction says, “Bring this to Me.”

Condemnation tells us, “Hide.”

Today, choose honesty.

Confess what's weighing on your heart. Receive God's forgiveness. Ask Him to change what needs changing.

And then keep walking with Jesus.
